My day may consist of digitally engineering the look of burnout patterns in various garments. When a garment is accented with a burnout pattern, it shows as a sheer pattern within the thicker fibers of the garment, allowing the natural color of the skin to show through typically. From working directly with a sample of the garment, I simulate that particular burnout pattern in Photoshop, separating the textures and colors and making it changeable so that I can apply the burnout look on any color and fashion body whether its a sketched or photo real body. From there, patterns can be created in both Photoshop and Illustrator to be used on CADs.
